For at least the beginning of the 2020-21 school year, students will not be coming to the library to browse and check out books. Instead, students will put books that they would like to read on hold and the library staff will deliver the books to the students. Please watch this video for a demonstration of how that process will work. Let me know if you have questions. If you prefer written directions, you can access those here.
There are many new ebooks and audiobooks available now for checkout & download from the Point Library catalog (Follett Destiny). You will need to login in order to checkout a book. Use your Prairie username & password. Did you forgot what that is? Contact Mrs. Wilding via email if you need help!
Maybe you feel like it's been summer for a while because we have been apart for long. But summer is only beginning and we will not be back at school for quite a while.
Reading in the summer (and always) can take multiple paths -- audiobooks, print books, ebooks, magazines, DIY projects, and much more. The image above contains many links to resources that will help you Blaze a New Trail this summer. Keep reading! Contact Mrs. Wilding if you have questions about how to access resources or suggestions for new books or resources to purchase! We will be adding new ebooks and audiobooks in early July. Enjoy your summer and we'll see you next fall! Starting this week, Point students can request up to 5 books from the library and pick them up at the curb in front of Point on Thursday between 4 and 6. So search the catalog and request books today. See this form for details. [Update: Curbside Pickup is not available during the summer months.]
We hope that we are able to get back to school as soon as possible after April 30 but in the meantime we are fortunate to have access to many audiobooks and ebooks to keep us engaged and entertained. Check out these options! Books Read Aloud by Point Staff
Audiobooks & Ebooks via the Point Library CatalogWatch this video for a demonstration on how to access electronic books and audiobooks from the library. Apps for accessing ebooks and audiobooks are available from our 3 vendors. Click on the links below for more information:
Please email Mrs. Wilding if you have any questions or problems accessing these and other library resources. A Long Way Down was a quick but intense read! Now it's time to roll-in to the next read..... No Fixed Address by Karin Nielsen. Reading starts on Thursday, March 12 in the Library at 7:30 AM. See you there!
Join in on Tuesday, February 18 before school in the library when we will begin reading A Long Way Down by Jason Reynolds for the Roll-In Read Aloud. And, for this book, the author himself will read to us although, sadly, not in person. #audiobooks
