The selection of free books is growing! How do you get one? Select a Free Book coupon next time you're trading in a PRIDE Card. Then come to the library to trade in the coupon and choose a book.
One lucky reader can choose an autographed copy of A Bird Will Soar by Alison Green Myers. Ms. Myers was one of our visiting author-readers on World Read Aloud Day. Her book is the winner of this year's Schneider Family Book Award which honors authors & illustrators for the artistic expression of the disability experience for children & young adults.

A big thank you to everybody who donated money and made purchases from this year's book fair. The fair was a big success! Not only were students able to purchase books to keep, we were able to add many new books to the library & classroom libraries at Point. We will continue to purchase new books with the proceeds throughout the coming year so watch for new books to appear in our online catalog.
The Book Fair is back in-person this year, yeah! Check it out November 29 - December 3 in the library during school (7:30 AM - 3:00 PM). Also, rather than bringing money to school, your parents or guardians can create an eWallet for you and add money for you to spend at the fair. Check out this video to get started with eWallet:
You can also shop at the online, companion fair starting on November 29 and going through December 12. Books ordered online will be mailed to your house.
Here's a link to the book fair homepage. Check it out! All proceeds from the fair will benefit the Point Library. Thank you for your support! Keep reading! Sora provides the quickest and easiest way to get started with digital titles from the Point Library. You can simply log in using Prairie credentials and instantly access hundreds of eBooks and audiobooks on virtually any device.
And now, you can access MAGAZINES through the same app! We have access to 49 magazines that will appeal to teens for leisure reading but can also be used by you for instruction. All magazines are unlimited simultaneous access so your whole class can access a single issue at the same time. The magazine collection spans a wide range of subject areas, interests, and reading levels. There are even a few titles in Spanish. Check 'em out! Hello Point Students - Welcome back to school! We challenge you to read as many books as you can this school year. Set a goal for yourself and strive to meet it. The 8th Grade Black Team has challenged its students to read 25 books. Can you meet that challenge too?
Stay motivated and track your progress by creating a Destiny Collection of all the books you read this year. Here's a link to Mrs. Wilding's collection. Ask her how you can build a collection too. Keep reading!
Thanks to everyone who purchased a book at the online book fair! We have spent the profit already to order a batch of new books for the library. Be on the look out for these new books in the library soon!
There are many new ebooks and audiobooks available now for checkout & download from the Point Library catalog (Follett Destiny). You will need to login in order to checkout a book. Use your Prairie username & password. Did you forgot what that is? Contact Mrs. Wilding via email if you need help!
Maybe you feel like it's been summer for a while because we have been apart for long. But summer is only beginning and we will not be back at school for quite a while.
Reading in the summer (and always) can take multiple paths -- audiobooks, print books, ebooks, magazines, DIY projects, and much more. The image above contains many links to resources that will help you Blaze a New Trail this summer. Keep reading! Contact Mrs. Wilding if you have questions about how to access resources or suggestions for new books or resources to purchase! We will be adding new ebooks and audiobooks in early July. Enjoy your summer and we'll see you next fall! A Long Way Down was a quick but intense read! Now it's time to roll-in to the next read..... No Fixed Address by Karin Nielsen. Reading starts on Thursday, March 12 in the Library at 7:30 AM. See you there!
